history & charm in downtown glenwood springs

The Space

Built in 1902 in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs, this beautiful Victorian home boasts a rich architectural history storied through exquisite detail and custom woodwork. The home sits in a fantastic central location, only 1 block from popular Grand Avenue on a quiet, residential street. The home includes: 4 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite 3/4 bathroom; a downstairs powder bath; air conditioning and heat; two living/sitting rooms; two dining rooms; space for up to 8 guests. This Queen Anne-style abode is the perfect mountain retreat to enjoy beautiful Glenwood Springs and the entire Roaring Fork Valley in true historic style.

As celebrated in the Library of Congress, this home originally belonged to Frederick Kaiser, who played an important role in the community, helping to bring electricity to Glenwood Springs.

The moment you enter the idyllic hardwood-encased, stained glass original entrance, you will feel the care each homeowner has dedicated to this iconic Glenwood home, since 1902. Once an active B&B transformed into an expansive law office, this space has been converted into a vacation experience to allow guests a rare look into both local history and luxury. Relax on your covered, rotunda-style front porch sitting area or one of the multiple lounge areas throughout the home, walk outside your front door to enjoy your friendly neighborhood in Glenwood Springs, or cook a meal in your fully-equipped modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The main living space on the first floor of the home includes: a front sitting room with a gas fireplace adorned with exceptional craftsmanship; a spacious formal dining room that seats 8; a second living room with expansive windows and sumptuous leather furnishings; a full kitchen; a breakfast nook for 4, with timeless refined furnishings. Travel upstairs to reach the comfort of the 4 tranquil bedrooms, all with ensuite 3/4 bathrooms, the laundry room, and a petite, decorative balcony. Each room comes with a heating/cooling unit that can be set to your own comfort.

You can arrive any way you please to this home: train, car, or bus. We recommend a car (4WD/AWD in snowy times) to enjoy the Roaring Fork Valley.
